International Bachelor of Education for primary schools

+ „Erzieher/Erzieherin“ vocational training qualification

One course of study – two qualifications

Would you like to earn a degree and at the same time gain a vocational training qualification? Do you love languages, foreign cultures and enjoy working with children? Then the International Bachelor of Education coupled with a „Erzieher / Erzieherin“ vocational training qualification is perfect for you!

You will receive intensive training in both areas with a good mix of theory and practice. You will graduate with a Bachelor of Education, allowing you to teach at many international schools (years 1 – 4). P.S. Admission is not restricted by Numerus Clausus (NC).

8 good reasons to get started!

  1. Good study environment

Our course and the teaching are about people, not just about the subject or topic. Good interpersonal relationships are very important to us!

  1. International course of studies

You will meet people from different countries and continents. You will study in Germany and in the Netherlands.

  1. English as the teaching language

The entire course of studies will be taught in English so that you can work and teach in an international environment yourself later.

  1. Practice-oriented course

Various teaching practice placements give you the opportunity to try out different fields of work.

  1. Educational focus

The focus is on educational theory rather than the school subjects taught, i.e. educational studies, didactics and social pedagogy. This distinguishes the course from conventional teacher training in Germany.

  1. Admission is not restricted by Numerus Clausus (NC)

Grades do not say everything about a person and certainly not about their suitability to work with children or teach them. In a personal interview we will find out whether the dual qualification is right for you.

  1. Internationally recognised academic degree

The academic degree is internationally recognised, enabling you to work and teach internationally. Permission to teach at a state primary school in Germany is regulated by the individual federal states.

  1. Dual qualification

After completing the combined course of studies, you can not only teach at international schools; the officially recognised vocational training as a „Erzieher / Erzieherin“ opens up further fields of work for you such as head of a day care centre, a child and youth welfare institution, an open all-day school and many more.
